Taken from an an article in Christianity Today concerning Tim Keller coming to NYC…
Keller’s PCA denomination proclaims classic Puritan doctrine. Keller not only adheres firmly to that doctrine, he also is a student of it, with a first-class knowledge of such luminaries as Jonathan Edwards. Yet he balances this doctrinal narrowness with catholicity, appreciating not only the Reformed theology of his heritage, but also actively supporting the efforts of charismatics, Lutherans, and the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
Read the whole thing here. It’s very good.
By the way, my wife and I enjoyed a great trip to NYC recently for my 30th birthday… Thanks to my cousin Lisa for a place to stay (and the rare Lewis book she snuck in my bag!)… It was great to visit the Lower East Side in Manhattan where my dad lived and see the new Yankees Stadium… We also had an opportunity to visit Redeemer church at the Hunter college…
